Theresa DeFilippo, 98, of Van Cortland Street, Schenectady, passed away after a long illness, on Saturday morning May 11, at Ellis Residential Center. Theresa was born in Schenectady on March 18, 1926, a daughter of the late Anthony and Lucy Laudato DeFilippo. Theresa graduated from Mt Pleasant High School. She worked at the GE for a short time and later retired from Woolworths after 35 years. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and spending time with her senior friends and family.
Theresa was predeceased by her sisters Mary (Arthur) Lotano, Jean Seymour and brothers Joseph and Dominick DeFilippo. She is survived by sister in law Charlotte DeFilippo of Indian Lake. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 16, at 10 a.m. from Delegge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11 a.m. at Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Church, 1255 Pleasant St., Schenectady. Interment will be in St Joseph Cemetery.
