Ronald J. Grinter, 88, of McLane St., Rexford, passed away peacefully, with his daughter Michele, son Ron Jr., and grandson Michael, by his side on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Winfred and Eileen Grinter. He graduated from Nott Terrace High School. He worked at Culligan for thirty years, and as a painter in the local area. He was a pop warner football coach in Scotia and a scout master for the boy scouts. Ron was a selfless and caring and had a deep love for making everyone happy. He had a passion for caring for his beloved birds and all of his animals. He was an avid skier. Most of all Ron adored his loving wife Connie.
Ronald is the beloved husband of the late Concetta Struffolino Grinter, loving father of Michele Talerico-Masse, Ronnie Grinter Jr., Debbie (John) Wilson, Kelly (Mike) Singsheim, and Becky (Ed) Murry, cherished grandfather of, Michael Jerome, Michelle Ploof, Katie and Mitchell Singsheim, brother of Alma (late Merritt) Willey, Brenda (late Michael) Sabo, Robbie ( late Ken) Sargent, and the lates, Betty Snyder, and Pat McGovern, Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 from 11-1 p.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home with a service to begin at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
