Robert "Leo" Liszewski, passed away on January 20, 2025 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Amsterdam, NY to Carl and Mae (Leszczynski) Liszewski. He moved to Schenectady at an early age. He attended St. Adalbert's School and Mont Pleasant High School graduating in 1957. Robert served an apprenticeship with Sheet Metal Local 83, graduating in 1963. He worked for Levi Case Company and Mechanical Testing for thirty-nine years. He was a lifetime member of Rotterdam Eagles 3610, and a member of the Church of St. Adlabert. He enjoyed taking friends fishing on his boat in Lake Ontario for ten years. After which he built a camp in Sacandaga and spent summers enjoying the wild life, riding ATV's and happy hours with his brother on the deck. He was an avid hunter.
He was predeceased by his son Michael.
Robert is survived by his brother, Jerry, and several cousins.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 31, from 11-1 at the DeLegge Funeral Home with a service to begin at 1.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Church of St. Adalbert.
