Regina Anderson, 96, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022 at her home. Born in Schenectady, NY, on September 7, 1925, Regina was the daughter of Wojciech and Antonina Zlotucha Madej.
Following her graduation from Nott Terrace High School in 1944, she married Irving Anderson on May 26, 1946. Regina was a secretary at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, retiring in 1988.
A life-long parishioner of St. Mary’s Church until its closure, Regina was a long-time member of St. Mary’s Rosary Society and Echo Choral Society. She currently was a member of St. Adalbert’s Church and its Rosary Society.
Regina enjoyed golf, swimming, skiing, bowling, reading, knitting, crocheting, and travel. Throughout her life, she participated in numerous church activities. After retirement, she was active with the Annie Shafer Senior Center.
Regina is survived by her son, Thomas Anderson of Dallas, Texas. She is also survived by nieces and a nephew: Pamela Madej, Barbara Thomas, Donna Baker, John Madej, Jr., and Paula Prendergast; and extended family.
Regina was predeceased by her husband in 2001; her parents; brothers William Madej, John Madej, and Edmund Madej; and a niece, Nancy Heitkamp.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 10:15 a.m. from the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Adalbert. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday evening May 3, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home.
