Raymond Trifilo, 90, of Amsterdam Ave., Rotterdam, passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023. Born in Schenectady, NY he was the son of the late Salvatore and Jean Trifilo. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. He was employed as an Assembler at the General Electric Company in Schenectady. Raymond served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was Captain of the Nott Terrace basketball team from 1951-1952. He also played Nott Terrace Baseball, and made the all County Baseball Team. After High School he played semi pro baseball for one season and then joined the Air Force. He also played basketball and baseball in the service. He was a Coach of the Rotterdam Little League, and an avid Duke University Fan.
He was predeceased by his wife Elaine Miller Trifilo.
Raymond is the loving father of Sandra (Robert) Page, and Raeann (Dwayne) Olds, cherished grandfather of Dave (Erin) Page, Katelyn (Brian) Seaback, Shelby Olds (Dante Macklin) and Sabrina Olds (Rahmel Dobbs), great-grandfather of KyLeigh, KaMiyah, Liam, JaKeef, Jacob, Angela, Logan, and Levi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 6, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church, 331 Seward Place, Schenectady. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park. Memorial Contributions in Raymond's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
