Peter Brown Obituary

Peter T. Brown 76, of Myrtle Avenue passed away on Sunday, June 8th, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side.

Born in Schenectady he was the son of the late Thomas and Vincenza Brown. He attended South Colonie High School and graduated from The College of St. Rose where he earned a BA Degree in Music Education. He also served in the United States Army Reserve where he made lifelong cherished friends. He was an accomplished musician and played his saxophone, conga drums and sang in two successful bands; Stormy Day and Moon Dance. He owned Creative Edge Landscaping with his cousin, Dean Devito, where he had many successful home and commercial landscape projects. He was also sole proprietor of Kousa Nursery in Schenectady. Peter also worked in the hospitality business where he was a bartender and restaurant manager. In his later years of retirement he helped his son in law build his business, Custom Sealcoating and Landscaping.

He was the cherished husband of Deborah DeLuke Brown that he married on April 30, 1989. Together they created a beautiful family with each of their daughters; Staci Jo Sacco (Andrew) and Lindsey Marie Palluti (Bob). They shared in the joy of 5 grandchildren; Angelo, Ava and Gia Sacco, and Jahnna and Kayla Palluti. Pete’s greatest love was his family. He took great pride in watching his grandchildren succeed in all their endeavors. It didn’t matter if they were earning a degree, dancing in LA, recitals, or watching basketball and volleyball games. He never tired of supporting and loving each of them. Pete loved crossword puzzles, working and creating beautiful gardens in his yard. He adored his buddy and best friend, his dog, Boots. He was an avid Yankee fan and would argue with anyone who didn’t think they were the greatest! He loved a good scotch (with a lot of ice), and a good bottle of red wine. Pete loved his wife’s cooking and had several favorite meals that he requested almost weekly, a pot of sauce with meatballs and sausage, pasta fagioli and greens and beans. He always complimented and praised her for his meals. Pete had a strong faith and there was never a meal that didn’t begin with Grace, thanking the Lord for every and any meal set before him. His entire family went to him for advice and guidance. He was so intelligent, kind and level headed. He “was the calm” to every storm for all his family and especially for his wife. He will be missed and cherished every day.
