Patricia Pastrana, born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on February 27, 1938 to parents Edwin and Beatrice Harding, passed peacefully on March 29, 2026 at 88 years of age. Patricia, a long-time Rotterdam resident, was a woman of unwavering faith, boundless love, and quiet strength. She lived a life that reflected the very essence of grace, humility, and devotion. A devout Catholic, Patricia did not simply believe in her faith, she lived it. Every day of her life was a testament to God’s love, expressed through her kindness, her compassion, and her selflessness. It is said that we are all called to live a life worthy of heaven – Patricia answered that call in every way. Through her actions, her sacrifices, and her unwavering devotion to God and family, she earned her place at the right hand of the Father. While our hearts mourn her absence, we find peace in knowing she is home, embraced by eternal light and love. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Patricia is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Ricardo ,who she married on October 4,1958, and who predeceased her on March 6, 1996. Together again, they rest in eternal peace, a love renewed in the presence of the Lord.
Patricia was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Mary Moolick, Richard(wife Mary Ann), and Karen Simpson. As Nana, her love extended to her grandchildren, Michael(wife Sarah) Moolick, Kelly Moolick, Olivia Pastrana, and Alexandra Pastrana. She found immense joy in her role as great-grandmother, showering Aidan, Sophie, and Clara Moolick with the same warmth, guidance, and unconditional love that defined her life.
Pat is also survived by her adored siblings Lorraine(late Bob) Nittinger and Edwin(wife Barbara) Harding; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.
