Nicholas Ramundo, 69, of Altamont, NY passed away unexpectedly on September 3, 2024 from a heart attack. He graduated from Bishop Gibbons High School and retired from the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance. After retirement, Nicholas enjoyed golfing in the league at The Stadium Golf Course, volunteering for Hospice, and bowling. He taught himself how to play guitar as a teenager and was a member of many bands throughout his lifetime. He loved sports and music, especially The Beatles. Above all else, he was an incredibly proud grandfather. Nicholas is predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Halina Ramundo (Stuczko) and sister, Linda Ramundo. He is survived by his loving daughter, Ariel (Mathew) Brennan, brothers Vito Ramundo, and Michael (Barbara) Ramundo, and three sisters, Marjorie M. Bear, Victoria A. Ramundo (Joseph Chyrywaty), Deborah Ramundo (Dennis Cox). Nicholas is also survived by his four grandchildren, Xandyr, Ethan, Jasper and Magdalena Brennan, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024 at the DeLegge Funeral Home from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm with a graveside service and interment following at 2pm in St. Adalbert Cemetery on Hamburg Street, Rotterdam, NY.
