Nicholas Jegabbi Obituary

Nicholas Jegabbi, 70, of Niskayuna, NY, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, February 15, 2025. Born in Albany, NY, he was the beloved son of the late Julius and Gertrude Jegabbi.

Nick was a proud alumnus of Christian Brothers Academy and furthered his education with a degree in Manufacturing Studies from GE. From a young age, Nick distinguished himself as a master carpenter and craftsman, eventually transitioning into a successful entrepreneur with several businesses under his belt.

Nick was married for 35 wonderful years to his soulmate, Lisa, the love of his life. Their marriage was a beautiful journey filled with laughter, compassion, and an endless love for their children. They were partners in every sense of the word, supporting each other through life’s trials and celebrating its joys. Their bond was the kind that inspired others, showing what true companionship and unconditional love looks like.

Nick found joy in life's simple pleasures, taking joyrides in his Porsche, savoring oysters by the dozen, and sharing quiet moments cuddling with his cat, Koots. Above all, nothing filled him with greater joy than spending precious time with his wife and children. He was known for his humor, wisdom, and a heart of gold, always cherishing every moment with his loved ones. Through his quick wit, contagious laughter, and unwavering charm, Nick left an unforgettable mark on all who knew him.

Nicholas is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa (Martin) Jegabbi, his adored children, Danielle and Robert Jegabbi, his younger brother, David (Dena) Jegabbi, cousins, Peter and Pamela Libertucci, Jim, John, and Cathy Longo, Kathleen and Kimberly McMaugh, brother and sister-in-laws, Denise Martin, Diane (Brian) Kilcullen, Michele (Paul) DeMeo, Anthony Martin, Sandra Kimelman, nieces and nephews, Delaney Kilcullen, Tiffany and Nicole DeMeo, Erica and Matthew Martin, Jeffrey and Rachel Kimelman. Nick’s legacy of selflessness, generosity, and love will continue to be remembered by all that hold him dear.

Mass will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 12 PM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union St. Schenectady, NY. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Nick in a special way may make a contribution to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 516 Carew St Springfield, MA 01104, or the Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave Schenectady, NY 12302.
