Mary Pallante

Mary Pallante, 93, of Woolsey Street passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center with her loving family by her side.

Born in Newark, NJ, the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Loreta Fantozzi. She moved to Schenectady in 1947 when she married her husband Angelo Pallante who died in 1984. She was also predeceased by a sister, Nancy DiCocco, brother, Philip Fantozzi and son-in-law, Stephen Wilary.

Mary worked as a seamstress and also for the Schenectady City School District. She loved cooking for her family and gardening. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed.

Mary was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for over 60 years. She was a member of their Women’s Society and Seniors. She enjoyed the many trips with her senior friends.

Survivors include her four daughters, Anna Marie (Joseph) James, Alice (William) Litts, Loretta Wilary and Angela (Daniel) Crowley. Nine grandchildren, Kurt (Sue Connally), Kyle (Elaine), Kevin James, Travis Litts, Jaclyn (Thomas Levine) Wilary, Ryan (Amy), Daniel (Kristie), Michael and Shannon (Nick LaPoint) Crowley. Nine great-grandchildren, Kylie, BreAnna, Karly and Marisa James, Andrew, Thomas, William, Ava and Ella Crowley, several nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws Mary Mahoney, Ann Fantozzi, Barbara Pallante, brother-in-law Joseph Pallante, cousin Vincenza Martini and special friend Pash.

A special thank you to the staff of D-wing at Kingsway. They were caring, loving and supportive during her entire stay.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday, September 27th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the DeLegge Funeral Home at 1346 Chrisler Avenue, Schenectady, NY.

Funeral will be on Friday, September 28th at 10:30am at DeLegge Funeral Home thence to Our Lady of Mt.Carmel Church where at 11:30am a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Kings Rd.
