Mark Bourdeau Obituary

Mark Albert Bourdeau was born May 1, 1951 and passed away on March 20, 2026 with his sister Debbie by his side.  Mark was the son of Albert Philip Bourdeau and Lorraine Nolan.  He was a lifelong resident of Schenectady.

Mark is predeceased by his brother, John Bourdeau.  He is survived by his son Christopher (Justice), and his grandson Shane, a senior at Siena College. He is also survived by two sisters, Elaine (Arthur) Freitag and Deborah (Gabriel) Galietta, and several nieces and nephews.

Mark worked at General Electric for 41 years, retiring in 2011.  He was a Welder and a Machinist, and was active in employee relations.  Mark was a good friend and enjoyed reminiscing about Schenectady.  Throughout his years during and after GE, Mark had an antique business.  When he wasn't antiquing, you could find him enjoying his garden, a quiet view or driving through the Adirondacks, fishing, hunting, or reading History books.  He also enjoyed Historical Fiction and crossword puzzles.  Mark's pride and joy was his grandson, Shane. His sister, Debbie provided loving care, support, and company during his later years and illness.

Mark will be remembered for his generosity and kind spirit.

Funeral arrangements will be private.  Mark can be remembered by passing on an act of kindness.
