Marie (Osinska) Budniewski

Marie (Osinska) Budniewski, 89, entered into eternal peace on December 3, 2021 in Schenectady, New York. Born in Wloclawek, Poland in 1932, Marie moved to France as an infant with her parents and her older brother where she lived until finally settling in Schenectady in 1957.

Marie is predeceased by her beloved parents, Casimir and Cecile (Majewska) Osinski, her beloved brother, Casimir Z. Osinski, her ex-husband, Stefan Budniewski, and her long-time partner, Michael Piotrowski.

Marie is survived by her sons, Richard (Kyong) Budniewski, and Gerard (Ann) Budniewski, nephew, Eric (Cheryl) Osinski, niece and goddaughter, Nadege (Pete) Sarti, her five grandchildren Richard S. (Rachelle) Budniewski Jr., Jennifer (David) Johnson, Megan Rodriguez, Matthew Budniewski, Katelynn Budniewski, Rochelle Osinski, Ashley Osinski, her great-grandchildren, as well as several maternal cousins in Poland and her cherished feline-rescue companion, Monika.

Marie operated a house-cleaning service for many years and was later employed at Bellevue Woman's Maternity Hospital from where she retired - she enjoyed many life-long friendships through her work.

Marie will always be remembered as the quintessential optimist who always inspired and encouraged those around her to embrace the simple joys of life with her heart-felt genuineness and her undying love for others.

Funeral services will be private.
