Lucas Antonio Ortiz

Lucas Antonio Ortiz, 62, was a man who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on February 28th, 1962. Departing when God called him home on March 16th, 2024 in Far Rockway, NY. Lucas was a survivor from a TBI due to a car accident. Lucas’s life was one filled with open arms,eagerness, love, laughter, ambition & unwavering dedication to his family & friends. Lucas was the son of the late Lucas A. Ortiz Sr. & Carmen L. Diaz. From Puerto Rico to New York City until he reached Schenectady, NY where he worked for various companies with dedication at T&P landscaping, Schenectady City School District, Sodexo and was still employed at Market 32. Lucas can enlighten anyone anywhere. Lucas is survived by his wife, Cindy, (5) children Lucky, Santanna, Christopher, Lillian and Lucas. A stepchild, Hatie. A grandchild, Lou’lani. Siblings and friends who turned into family, Dan & Amy. Lucas loved to cook, train dogs, working, smelling good & looking good.

He will always be remembered as a hardworking and loving man.

The viewing and services will be Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the DeLegge Funeral Home on 1346 Chrisler Avenue Schenectady, NY from 5pm –7pm.
