Linda Amy Sendzicki, 77, of Niskayuna passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday January 1, 2026. She was born on November 23, 1948, in Rhode Island but moved to New York at an early age and lived most of her life in Schenectady.
She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School, class of 1966. After high school, she became a secretary and worked for many organizations over her years with a few breaks in between to raise her children while they were young. She was a simple woman who truly lived for her family and did not ask for much in return even though she deserved it. Her smile and infectious laugh could light up the room. She enjoyed listening to music, ceramics, search-a-word puzzles, and anything related to Tom Selleck or Lucille Ball, the Nubble lighthouse, cardinals, flamingos, cats, and butterflies.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Leonard Sendzicki; her loving children Brian (Susan) Sendzicki and Eric (Allana) Sendzicki; her grandson Andrew Makowski; her cat Kitty as well as several cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Amy Fishlock.
Family and friends are invited to gather to remember Linda on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the DeLegge Funeral Home from 10 AM - 12 noon. Interment will be private.
Those who wish to remember Linda in a special way may make a donation to the Voice for the Voiceless, PO Box 2853, Schenectady, NY 12325 in her memory.
