Leonard Suchocki, 86, passed away peacefully December 1, 2025, at the Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Grzybowski) Suchocki, where he remained a life long resident, attended Draper High School and graduated Mt. Pleasant High School with a technical degree and soon after he enlisted in the US Air Force from 1959 to1963 where he was trained in the electrical communications field and was stationed in France for four years, receiving an honorable discharge. Upon returning home he attended Hudson Valley Community College graduating with a degree in electrical technology and soon began a 37 year career with the XEROX Co. making many friends along the way. His Catholic faith was always an essential part of his life as was his infectious sense of humor, delighting in making people smile.
He enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping, hunting, fishing, boating, photography and belonging to the NRA and AMVETS and while retired he enjoyed wintering in Delray Beach, FL, meeting up with friends for coffee.
Survivors include his sister Diane (Suchocki) Usavich as well as his two nephews Richard Savage and Stephen Usavich and grand-nephew Joshua Coon of Texas.
Calling hours will be Monday, December 15, 2025 at 9:30 a.m.-10:30 from the DeLegge Funeral Home followed by a Mass at the Church of St. Adalbert at 11:00 a.m.
Internment will be in the spring with military honors. Contributions to the Church of St. Adlabert or Charity of one’s choice.
