Lawrence Ahrens

Lawrence Ahrens, 69, of Schenectady, NY, passed away on November 10th 2024, after a battle with cancer.

Lawrence was born on August 10th 1955 to Irene Liszewski and Douglas Ahrens in Schenectady NY. After growing up in Schenectady and graduating from Mont Pleasant High School, Larry went right into his 36 year career with the City of Schenectady in 1974.

Lawrence went on to have 4 children in 2 marriages, Jeremy, Victoria, Lawrence Jr and William.

In October of 2010, Larry retired and spent his time enjoying life, doing side jobs, scraping metal and gambling at the local watering hole. 

Larry is predeceased by his son Jeremy Ahrens.

Larry is survived by his 3rd wife Dularee Ahrens, children Victoria Cobian, Lawrence Ahrens JR, William Ahrens, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Larry is also survived by his 3 siblings Dolores Rogers, Rita Peterson and Janet Burchell.

Private services have been held at DeLegge Funeral Home in Schenectady NY.
