Joyce E. Bonacquisto, 78, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Ellis Hospital, on Friday, April 6, 2018. Born in Herkimer, NY, she was the daughter of the late Louise and Thomas Collins. She graduated from Albany High School, and retired from Community Care Physicians in Latham. Joyce was an avid bowler and bowled with the Rocket League at Sportsman Bowl. She was a member of the Awenke Yacht Club.
She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony R. Bonacquisto, who she married on April 11, 1958 in Latham, NY, and sister Jennie Smith.
Joyce is survived by her sons, Joseph D. Bonacquisto, of Albany, and Anthony (Blanca) Bonacquisto, of Schenectady, sisters Louise Donlon, Mary Lefebvre, Theresa Simons, brothers, Thomas and Charles Collins, grandchildren, Shelby, Jocel, and Alexandra Bonacquisto, sister-in-law, Betty (Liberata) Barbolla, brother-in-law, Carman Caruso, several nieces and nephews, and beloved grand-dogs, Bruno and Antonio.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 12:15 p.m. from the DeLegge Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke's Church. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday evening, from 6-8 p.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home.
