Obituary
Jon David Nertney born April 25th, 1950, of Rotterdam Junction, NY, passed away peacefully at home on July 24th, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his mother Charleen Augusta of Port Richey, FL, two children: Jonai (Joseph) Trumpler, and Anthony Nertney, and two grandchildren, as well as a close friend of many years, Crystal Evans. Jon is predeceased by his stepfather, the late Floyd Augusta, and his grandmother, the late Dorothy Bouck Jones who loved him unconditionally.
Jon lived his life on his own terms and to the fullest.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 29, from 8-9 a.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass at St. Margaret of Cortona, Rotterdam Jct., at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of one’s choice.
