James D. Fiorillo, 87, of Schenectady, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Alfonso and Rosina Fiorillo. He was a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy and received a Bachelors degree from Siena College. He worked for New York State Department of Mental Hygiene for twenty-five years. He was a member of St. Luke's Church, and was a devout religious person.
James loved woodworking, portrait painting, gardening, and enjoyed making people laugh.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Doris Caputo Fiorillo, daughter Paula Fiorillo, twin brother, Michael Fiorillo, brothers, Anthony (Carm) Fiorillo, Frank (Viola) Fiorillo, sisters, Philomena (Al) Harrington, Mary (Earl) Buonanno, and Anna (Ernie) D'Allessandro.
James is the loving father of Lisa Williams of Rotterdam, Thomas (Lynn) Fiorillo, of Rotterdam, and Marty (Melissa) Fiorillo, of Atlanta, GA, brother-in-law of Angelina Fiorillo, Patricia (late Richard) Bell, and Richard (Lee) Caputo,, grandfather of Sabre, Eric Renee, Laura, Nicole, Miranda, Olivia, and Jackson, great- grandfather of Joseph. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 31, from 10 a.m-12 noon at the DeLegge Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
