James "Jim" R. Allen

James “Jim” R. Allen, 61, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, January 13th, 2022.

A lifelong resident of the area, Jim was born in Schenectady to his parents, the late Charles and Hariett Lawyer Allen. 

Jim adored his family very much and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He never met a stranger and had an amazing ability to make you laugh. Jim was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys and in recent years he had become a creative and talented woodworker. 

Jim leaves behind his high school sweetheart and cherished wife Patricia Allen, his loving children, James Allen Jr (Christy), Lacey Matteo (Ron) and Joshua Allen and his beloved grandchildren Jaclyn, Liam, Brianna and Jayden. He also leaves behind his brother Charles Allen and sister Bridget Carbonare as well as nieces and nephews. 

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 18th, 2022, from 4-6 pm at the DeLegge Funeral Home 1346 Chrisler Avenue in Schenectady.
