Isabelle A. Gorga, 95, of Rotterdam, passed away on February 10, 2018. Born in Schenectady, NY she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Mary Krystyniak. A graduate of Mont Pleasant High School, she was employed by the General Electric Company, then by the Carl Company for twenty-five years. Isabelle was a lifelong member of the Church of St. Adalbert, and the St. Adalbert Altar Rosary Society. She was very active in various church affairs, especially the Harvest Festival and Bingo Kitchen. Isabelle enjoyed being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to needlepoint and knitting.
She was the beloved wife of the late John Gorga for fifty-eight years, and was also predeceased by her brother, Casimir (Gene) Krystyniak, sisters, Celia (Marcel) Lechna, and Sylvia (Cortis) Morrison, and brother-in-law, Fred Szatkowski.
Isabelle is survived by her sons, Douglas Gorga, and Kevin (Kathy) Gorga, grandchildren, Karen Gorga and fiancee Jeff Newell, and Kelly Gorga, sister, Kay Szatkowski, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 16, 2018, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Adalbert. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
