Irene Klejsmyt, 100 of Rotterdam, NY was reunited with her loving husband Henry on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Born in Schenectady, NY, Irene was the daughter of Walter and Pauline Boroski. She attended Mont Pleasant High School, and on November 24, 1945 she married Henry Klejsmyt at the Church of St. Adalbert in Schenectady. For twenty-five years she enjoyed working at the Carl Company and after retiring, she volunteered at St. Clare's Hospital for more than twenty years. Irene was a member of the St. Adalbert Altar Rosary Society and a lifetime member of the Church of St. Adalbert Parish.
She was predeceased by her husband Henry, sister, Celia Dziadul and brother, John Boroski. Irene is survived by her daughters, Linda (Gary) Craver, and Anne Foskett, son, David (Peggy) Klejsmyt, eight grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Adalbert. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Church of St. Adalbert Restoration Fund, 550 Lansing St., Schenectady, NY 12303, would be appreciated.
