Helen C. Komorny, 91, of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully in Rochester, NY on May 27, 2018.
Helen was the daughter of the late William Goverski and Antonina Skrzypek. She is predeceased by her wonderful husband of 59 years, Paul S. Komorny, sisters Anna Kardash, Viola Obrota, Anna Raymond, and brother Frank Goverski.
She is survived by her loving daughter and son, Janet O’Leyar of Rochester, NY, David Komorny, of Long Island, NY, her dear sister and best friend, Sophie Faboskay of Schenectady, and several nieces and nephews.
Helen was a very loving and devoted mother, wife and homemaker. She enjoyed traveling and was blessed to have been able to travel with her husband all over the U.S. and recently to Prince Edward Island in Canada, Las Vegas, Aruba, Alaska and the Caribbean. Helen also enjoyed gardening, listening to the radio and visiting various casinos.
Helen was a long-time member of the Church of St. Adalbert.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the visitation at the DeLegge Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, 6-8 p.m. and the Liturgy of Christian Burial on Friday, June 1, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Adalbert.
Interment will be in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery in Rotterdam.
