Frederick A. Riggi (Fred), 76, of Carmen Rd, Schenectady died peacefully at Ellis Hospital on
April 11, 2018 after a long illness. Fred was the son of the late Cataldo & Elizabeth Riggi. He is
survived by his wife Valerie, his son Douglas Riggi (Nicole), stepson William Henges (Amy),
stepdaughter Jennifer Meyring, and 5 grandsons. He is survived by his brother Vincent Riggi
(Beverly) and sister Lynne Norton. He was predeceased by his sister Josephine Riggi and
brother Ronald Riggi.
Fred was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and served in the United States Army. He
spent most of his career as an auto-body mechanic. He was an avid NY Mets & NY Giants fan.
He was also a member of the 1954 Schenectady Little League World Champions.
The family would like to express their thanks to Fred’s friend Jim Fordham, Dr. Ford, and the
staff from the Schenectady Eddy Senior Care of St. Peter’s.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 10:00 a.m-12:00 noon, at the DeLegge
Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memory's Garden Cemetery with full Military honors.
