Elizabeth M. Harrington

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our much loved wife, mother, sister, and friend.

On October 25th, 2023 at the age of 78, Liz passed away with family by her side after a short battle with pneumonia. Born in Schenectady, she was predeceased by her father John Sobieski, Mother Mary Sobieski and granddaughter Lindsay Marie Harrington.

Liz is survived by Husband Myron, Son Kevin, Daughter Theia/Brian Clukey, Brother, John Sobieski Sister, Cynthia Couture and several nieces and nephews

Liz graduated from Mont Pleasant High School with honors and had several careers, finally retiring from New York State Workmans Compensation with many awards and high recognition.

Liz had an infectious smile that lit up a room when she entered it. She enjoyed her time with family, friends and coworkers. She also loved decorating for the holidays every year, whether she was at work or at home.  Her hobbies included sewing, making stuffed bears, doing puzzles and most of all fishing, which she learned from her beloved father  at a young age.  Liz adored her great nieces/nephews, her granddog Cairo and her special little buddy Jackson.  Liz will be dearly missed near and far. Her favorite color was blue. In honor of Liz if you would like to wear any shade of blue, feel free.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday November 2nd from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
