Eileen J. Dumas, 85, of Glenville, passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness on February 15, 2024. Born in Schenectady, on July 15, 1938 to the late Julian J. (Maliszewski) Malis an Stasia Brzozowski Malis. She worked at various companies as a Computer Assisted Designer, while raising her family. Her interests included serving on many committees for the Church of St. Adalbert, where she was a lifelong parishioner, polka music, especially traveling to see her children dance, boating, camping, many years of devotion to her Green Bay Packers and providing wonderful Sunday dinners for family. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her “Sweet Boboo”, Robert P. Dumas, whom she married on April 23, 1960, brother Robert G. Malis, and brother-in-law Maurice Dumas (Jeanne). She is survived by her children Roberta, Russell, Michael (Aimee), and Richard Dumas and Deborah (Gene) Duda, grandchildren Tyler Marie Best, Ashley (Kyle) Henderson, Ryan Duda, Richard, Joseph and Cathy Dumas, her pride and joy great-grandchildren Carson and Lilah May Henderson, brother Edmund (Nancy) Malis and brother-in-law Andre (Sandra) Dumas, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 11:00 at DeLegge Funeral Home, 1346 Chrisler Ave, Schenectady, NY 12303, with calling hour from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment in St. Adalbert Cemetery, 2788 Hamburg Street, Schenectady, NY 12303.
