Clement J. Giedroc, 92, of Rotterdam passed away peacefully on May 31, 2022 at Albany Medical Center. He was born on July 7, 1929 in Buttonwood, PA to the late Alexander and Lillian (Wysocki) Giedroc.
Clement graduated from Hanover Memorial High School and King’s College in Wilkes Barre, PA. He obtained his Masters degree in education from the University at Albany and retired after teaching English and History for 30 years at Burnt Hills - Ballston Lake Middle School.
He was a communicant of St. Gabriel the Archangel Church and a life member of the Rotterdam Elks #2157. An avid golfer, Clem enjoyed rounds of golf with his buddies at Stadium Golf Club in Schenectady, NY.
Clement is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret; daughters Kathryn (Richard) Funaro of Clifton Park and Ellen (Mark Caravaty) Garelick of Clifton Park; sister Timothea Graham of Kingston, PA, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters and and one brother.
Calling hours will be held at the DeLegge Funeral Home, on Sunday, June 5, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 6, at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church. Entombment will follow the service at Saints Cyril and Method Cemetery.
