Clara Rapavy, 106, of Schenectady, passed away at home, on Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Born in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Anna Jakubek. Clara was a homemaker and loved her home. She was a devoted communicant of the Church of St. Adalbert, and an active member of St. Adalbert Altar Rosary Society. She was very active, and participated in many church functions. Clara was a very loving and caring person and will be missed by all.
She was predeceased by her husband John Rapavy, and sisters Stephie Zmitrowitz, and Helen Dellureficio.
Clara is survived by her brother, Ladislav Jakubek, sisters, Mary Michalak, and Hilda Zalewski. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
A calling hour will be held on Thursday, March 11, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home, with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Adalbert. Interment will follow in Sts. Cyril and Method Cemetery.
