Carol M. Lawrence

Carol M. Lawrence, 83 of Schenectady, NY passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024 surrounded by her entire family. 

She was born to Theodore and Mary (Flis) Wondell.    

Carol was married to the love of her life Earl F. Lawrence Sr. for 59 years until his death in 2019. They both were a great example of family values and family was everything to them. 

Carol was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother (Gigi). 

In addition to her parents and husband, Carol was predeceased by her only brother Theodore Wondell (Terry). She is survived by her four children, Kathy and Robert Suwinski, Michelle and Mike Dempf, Earl Lawrence Jr, Anne, and Amy and Mike Lawyer;  her grandchildren, Laurie Riddell (Dustin) Britney delPrado (Marc) Alexa Lawyer (Sameer), Amanda Lawrence, Ashley Lawyer and Stephen Lawrence (Michele); her great grandchildren; Kiley, Juliana, Harley, Charlotte, Adalyn Carol, Lucas and Nora. She is also survived by two nieces Patricia Ford (Tony) and Susan Ives (Andy). 

Carol was a crossing guard for the City of Schenectady for many years. She also held many other jobs but most of all, raising her children was the most important. 

Calling hours will be held on Thursday March 21, 2024 from 9AM-11AM at the DeLegge Funeral Home followed by a short blessing and Interment at St Adalbert Cemetery on Hamburg St. Schenectady, NY.  Please join us afterward at the 19th hole at Briar Creek Golf Course for a celebration of life.
