Carmella Friello Stipano, 96, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Maria Friello. She graduated from Mont Pleasant High School and was a Secretary for Local 301 Union for several years. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace. Carmella enjoyed spending time with her dogs, going for walks and loved gardening. She especially loved baking her Italian food and cookies for her loving family. She was a thoughtful, caring and loving person and will be greatly missed by all.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Stipano, daughter, Maureen Stipano, sisters, Isabella Vinciguerra, Mary Lee Margiotta, Dolores Lombardi, Mary Lombardi, and Mary Anne Siviglia, brothers, Carman, and Dominick Lombardi, and Alexander DiRienzo.
Carmella is survived by several nieces, and nephews, and great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 24, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace, Princetown Rd., Rotterdam. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
