Arthur J. DeSarbo

Arthur J. DeSarbo, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at home.  Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the lates Joseph and Mary (Demeo) DeSarbo.   He was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School.  Arthur retired from the Atlantic Cement Company after a  20 plus year career as a foreman.  He was an avid stock car fan and spent countless hours as a mechanic with his brother Jo-Jo for champion racing teams.  At any given time he could be found in a garage with his friends working to improve an engine.  He was also a life-long Yankees fan who rarely missed a game.   Arthur was love by many and left a lasting impact on anyone he came into contact with.

He was predeceased by his wife Leslie J (Uren) DeSarbo and brother Joseph DeSarbo. 
Arthur is survived by his daughters, Susan (Mario) Attanasio, Kristine (Shubie) Cooke, Melissa (Jeff) Gemmett, grandchildren, Johnny and Justin Laniewski, Samantha Attanasio, Jacob and Brady Cooke, and Adriana Lasher, great-grandchildren, Marcelo and Miliana.  Also survived by several cousins and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Artie's life on Thursday, November 11, from 1-3 p.m. at the 19th Hole Briar Creek, 2347 Pangburn Rd., Duanesburg, NY.
