Anthony Ruzza Obituary

Anthony “Tony” Ruzza, 61, of Lilac Street in Rotterdam, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Ellis Hospital.

Born and educated in Schenectady, Tony was the son of the late Enrico and Giovanna Ruzza (DiPalma).

When he was younger, Tony worked at Ellis hospital in the kitchen, maintenance department and in the nursery.  He worked in the bakery at Price Chopper and then at Pine Ridge Industries in Scotia.  Tony attended Maple Ridge for a number of years, and absolutely loved the relationships he built with everyone there.

He was a kind and gentle man who always put the needs of others first.   He cherished the time spent with his aunt Maria and his friends at Schenectady ARC.

Tony played baseball for Linton High School and was a huge sports fan.  He watched all of the games on TV and cheered especially loud for the Mets.  Tony enjoyed watching all of the old TV shows and knew the words to all of The Three Stooges episodes as well as others.

He is predeceased by his brother Ricardo Ruzza and sister Rosemaria Ruzza.  Tony is survived by his loving aunt Maria Ruzza as well as a few cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Church on Tuesday, April 17, 2018.  Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
