Annette Wonders

Annette Wonders, 84, of Schenectady, NY passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026 after a brave battle with cancer and welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born on June 9th, 1941 to the late Samuel Riggi and Helen (Romano)Riggi.

Annette is survived by her daughter Kimberlee Grigas (James), brother Vince Riggi (Donna), and predeceased by her sisters Sandra Donovan (Mike) and Sharon Riggi. Also survived by grandchildren, George, Michael, Alessandra (Dylan) and Amanda. Great Granddaughter, Meadow. Annette held a special place in her heart for her nieces Tracy Donovan, Erica Wells, nephew Scott Riggi, great nephew Christopher Brown, a close cousin Joanne Fuda and life long friends Beverly Mace and Sharon Leonard as well as her friendship with former husband George Wonders. She leaves many great nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Annettes love and compassion for animals was only overshadowed by her love of family.

She was a proud graduate of Mont Pleasant High School class of 1959, Schenectady NY and attended Hudson Valley Community College.

Annette retired from the Watervliet Arsenal where she served as Manager for The Officers Club. She earned numerous recognitions for her excellence in culinary management. She loved her career and the people she worked with.

Celebration of life will be held Tuesday, June 9, 2026 (Annette’s birthday) from 11:00am-1:00pm at DeLegge Funeral Home 1346 Chrysler Ave Schenectady, NY 12303. Internment will be private.
