Alice Czyzyk Beals, 85, passed away on May 11, 2018. Born in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of the late Matthew Sr. and Rose Czyzyk. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School, was employed by the General Electric Company, and retired from Brockway-Smith in Coxsackie, NY. She volunteered for the YWCA and the S.I.C.M. Alice and her husband Charles taught Catechism at St. Luke's Church. She loved sewing, knitting, baking and made matching Easter outfits for her daughters. Alice enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting casinos'.
She was predeceased by her husband Charles Beals, whom she married on March 5, 1953, they were married for sixty-one years.
Alice is survived by her son, Michael (Ellen) Beals, and daughters, Judy (Roy) Davis, Kathy (Dennis) Ford, Eileen Phelps, and Jessica Beals, brother, Matthew Jr. (Gail) Czyzyk, grandchildren, Lindsey (Jason) Lehr, Ashley (Rafael) Velez, Benjamin Hartman, Rebecca and Alison Phelps, Rachel Deck, Jacob and Justine Beals, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday May 21, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home. Interment will be private in Saratoga National Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff at Heritage Home and Capstone Nursing Center for their loving care of Alice.
