Gina DeFrancesco

Gina DeFrancesco, 90, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018, at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center. Born in Palmoli, Italy, she worked for the State of New York in the Taxation and Finance Dept.  She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Mount Carmel Women's Society and Seniors.  She came from Palmoli, Italy to Schenectady in 1958. Gina loved going back to Italy, and visiting with family.  She went on many trips with the Mount Carmel Seniors. Gina loved gardening and cooking for her family. She was very welcoming to people who visited her. Gina loved to crochet and donated blankets, gloves, and hats to the Church for children in need.
She was the beloved wife of the late Silvino DeFrancesco.

Loving mother of Regina (Carlos) Cabrera of Charlton, Eugene (Barbara) DeFrancesco, of Estero, FL., Dominick DeFrancesco, of Duanesburg, cherished grandmother of Carlos, Bianca, Tania, Danielle, Gabrielle, Matt, and Jay, great-grandmother of Sofia, Maggie, Oscar, and Penelope.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 25, at 8:15 a.m. from the DeLegge Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. 
Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery
Calling hours will be held on Friday, from 6-8 p.m. at the DeLegge Funeral Home.
