Esther O. Muscanell

Esther O. Muscanell, 87, of Rotterdam, NY passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018.  Born in Schenectady, she was a lifelong resident.  She worked in the  Mohonasen School system, as well as voter registration and school census.  Esther enjoyed being with family and friends, and participating in many activities including, skiing, golf, tennis, bocce, bowling, and gymnastics.  She enjoyed countless camping trips and picnics, some favorites being, Thompsons Lake, Lake George, Thatcher's Park, and Schoharie Creek.

Esther is survived by her husband, Fred Muscanell, enjoying almost sixty-six years of marriage, sons, Kurt (Margaret) Muscanell, Gary (Leslie) Muscanell, and three grandchildren, Lisa (Peter), Craig, and Alex.  

She is predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Zita, Lino, Edy, and Joan, and a special cousin, Lena Lenta.  

A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 5, 10 a.m. at St. Gabriel's Church, 3040 Hamburg St., Schenectady, NY 12303.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Esther's name may be made to St. Gabriel's Church or to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
